Deutsche Bank DSS appoints Richard Settle as chief risk officer
Richard Settle has been appointed as Deutsche Bank’s chief risk officer in its Direct Securities Services business, to oversee all risk aspects of the DSS business, including credit risk.

Reserve Bank of India lays new guidelines to tighten internal controls in banks

Stung by a series of fraud in the financial sector over the past six months, the Reserve Bank of India has asked foreign and private banks to institute the role of an internal vigilance officer and laid down stringent norms to prevent fraud.

Capital treatment for bilateral counterparty credit risk finalised
The Basel Committee on Banking Supervision has announced that it has completed its review of and finalised the Basel III capital treatment for counterparty credit risk in bilateral trades, resulting in a minor modification of the credit valuation adjustment.
