 HKMA and Taiwan FSC sign MoU
The Hong Kong Monetary Authority and Taiwan Financial Supervisory Commission have signed an MoU for banking supervisory cooperation between the two authorities, in relation to cross border banking matters.

HSBC online banking security device begins circulation
HSBC’s new handheld devices called 'secure keys' have begun circulating to its four million customers, some of whom are unhappy as they think it makes net banking less quick and convenient.

Lawyer recovers $10b of Madoff scam money
UK court-appointed lawyer, Irving Picard, has successfully recovered $10 billion (£6.1 billion) for victims of the Madoff fraud, with the potential to recover more. Investors in Madoff’s scam had put in about $17-20 billion.
