Amex Bank of Canada appoints Rob McClean new President & CEO

Toronto - Amex Bank of Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Rob McClean as President & CEO of Amex Bank of Canada, and President and General Manager, Amex Canada Inc. Mr. McClean takes this role after serving as Senior Vice President & General Manager of Small Business & Lending for Global Network & International Card Services.

With a 21-year history at American Express, Mr. McClean brings a deep breadth of knowledge about the organization and the Canadian market to this position. He will directly lead marketing, customer acquisition and product development for the consumer payments business. Mr. McClean will also lead the Canadian Executive Team, provide oversight for all Amex's business in Canada and will continue to serve on the Board of Amex Bank of Canada

Mr. McClean joined American Express in 1994 and has worked across multiple areas including small business services, lending, corporate payments, and consumer product development and marketing. Most recently, he has served as Senior Vice President & General Manager of Small Business & Lending for Global Network & International Card Services. Mr. McClean will continue serving as a Director on the Board of Amex Bank of Canada.

Prior to joining Global Network & International Card Services at American Express, Mr. McClean spent 17 years in the Canadian business, where he was Vice President & General Manager, Lending and New Product Development for Consumer Card, and Vice President & General Manager, Global Corporate Payments.
